Any day of the week - Food Drive

We will be making a food drive for the Growing Home Food Pantry. At the end of each month we will bring Growing Home the collected goods. Please  see this link for their wish list. To learn about Growing Home  please visit   https://growinghome.org/

Clothing to send to camp

Masks  While most of the day the campers will be outside under large tents, if there is inclement weather and for other periods during the day the campers will be indoors. While indoors, campers will have to wear a mask. Your camper may wear their mask when they are outside.

Windbreaker  Please send a windbreaker/jacket in case the weather gets windy during an outdoor activity.

Shoes  Please make sure the campers have closed shoes. Flip flops make it difficult for the campers to participate in the activities and uncomfortable to walk in the outside area.

Sun hat   We suggest that the campers bring a sun hat to camp.

Water wear   On Monday and Friday please send bathing suit, towel and water shoes so the campers can enjoy our water slide.  Mini Camp Kind (ages 5 and 6) will also enjoy the Waterslide on Wednesday.

Please make sure all personal items have the campers name of it

Lunch and Snack

Please provide your child with a lunch and an afternoon snack. Please also send a water bottle with a name label.

Sunscreen

Parents are responsible to send sunscreen to camp. Please remind the campers to apply sunscreen.  This may be left in camp for the entire week. Please label the bottle with your child's name.

Tote  Each camper will have their own tote with their name on it for them to store their knapsack and other items they will be bringing to camp.

Drop off /pick up Will be on the open space parking lot on the west side of the property. See the map here   (you will need to view the map in satellite view to see the parking lot).  If the lot is full, please use the parking lot or across the street at the fire station parking lot.

PICK UP  For pick up, only parents or guardians who have been added to the campers file will be able to pick up the campers. Feel free to add a family member as necessary to your camp file. ID will also have to presented and must match the name on file.

Medical forms:  Please be sure to complete your medical forms. To do so, you need to log in to your account. If you have any trouble uploading forms. Feel fee to email to me the forms.

Cell Phones  We find that cell phones use is distracting the campers from fully participating in the activities and are also causing a disturbance to other campers. Please ask your camper to be mindful of this and only use their phones to contact a parent or guardian in case of emergency.

Camp Location  The camp is located at Camp Kind at 4505 W 112th Ave. Westminster.

Camp Times  Camp begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm Campers find it hard to adjust when they come late, and they worry when their parents don’t pick them up on time.  Please be prompt. After 3:45 pm your child will be checked into extended care, and after-care charges may be applied. Early care is available from 8:00 AM for $50 per week and from 3:30 to 4:pm for $25 per week

Contact  Communication with you is critical so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns you may have. I can be reached via this email or cell phone/text at 720-984-5805. My wife Leah can be reached at 720-837-3733.

Photos  Please note photos of each day’s activities will be featured on our Facebook at  https://www.facebook.com/campkind4kids/ . Please tag/share the photos and like our Facebook page!
